Black Father Tells 4-Year-Old To Shoot At Police

A 4-year old child fired his father’s gun at police officers during a dispute over food orders from McDonald’s Drive-Thru in Utah, officials said.

A man flashed a gun at McDonald’s workers in Midvale after getting upset about his order, according to the Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake. Sadaat Johnson, a 27-year old father was at the drive-thru with his two children in the backseat.

When 27-year old Johnson pulled over to wait for his order, the fast-food workers called the police instead. The officers arrived and were able to remove Johnson, who was being uncooperative with them. Police said the father instructed his 4-year old child to shoot officers while they were apprehending him. They saw what appeared to be a small arm and hand holding something like a gun come out of the car during this time. A police officer hit the gun, forcing the bullet upward, and it hit a restaurant awning. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in this incident. The officer who hit the gun received a small injury on his arm but is expected to be okay after treatment from paramedics.

The second child was 3 years old, and it’s not clear if he has any connection with the other suspects. The suspect was taken into custody. The officials have not yet announced what charges he faces yet.

It’s unclear whether the child was released into a guardian’s custody or if the Utah Division of Child and Family Services responded, but either way, they are in safe hands according to KUTV.
