The press secretary for the Trump administration stated Sunday morning that the White House is requesting Congress examine the previous administration of Barack Obama and its possible misuse of its surveillance capabilities over the span of the Presidential election.
This statement follows a series of tweets Trump posted yesterday that alleged then President Obama had tapped the phone lines of Trump Tower in New York City to gather information on him. President Trump provided no actionable evidence for the allegation.
Spicer posted the following on Twitter regarding having Congress investigate:
