Mother Texts Father Admission Of Horrific Act She Carried Out On Their Daughter

A Texas woman, after getting into a traffic accident, texts her four-year-old daughter’s father to tell him that she killed their little girl.

Laquita Lewis was being taken to the hospital for minor injuries sustained in the accident when she sent her daughter’s father a text that read she did something bad. According to prosecutors, the 39-year-old woman told the child’s father that the daughter wasn’t alive any longer and in Heaven.

Lewis wrote that she had stabbed the child in her chest, using a knife.

Police were notified of the messages and went to her home and found the four-year-old’s body, drenched in blood. A chaplain had to be called to help comfort and soothe the deputies who discovered the little girl’s body and family members.

Deputy Thomas Gilliland, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said the situation was gruesome and horrible.

According to court records, Laquita was on probation for threatening violence against Donnell Lewis, Jr., her ex-husband. She also filed three paternity suits – each one dismissed. Her first paternity suit was for Donnell – the couple divorced in 2011. The two other suits were against Frederick Allen, who was the little girl’s biological father.
Laquita is charged with capital murder and could face the death penalty if found guilty.

Officers said suspect Laquita murdered her daughter because of a domestic dispute between her and a boyfriend.

The Texas case is similar to a California one back in March. A Los Angeles mother used a pair of scissors to stab her six-month-old child when the couple was arguing.

Maria Mendez and her child’s father were fighting, when the 39-year-old mother grabbed some scissors and stabbed the child in the chest. She threatened the father with the same thing. The father grabbed the child and ran from the home. The infant was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police suspect Mendez burned her child the day before she stabbed the baby.

The court’s granted the father and baby a protective order.

Mendez is facing two counts of child abuse and attempted murder and a count of assault with a deadly weapon. She is currently in jail on a $2 million bail and, in convicted, be facing life in prison.
