Bullying is nothing short of an epidemic that must be curtailed in our society. In this story, a teenager by the name of Daniel Briggs was just a normal high schooler until he became the victim of bullying. He liked to be outdoors and was caring, and intelligent. He had aspirations to attend college and find a great fulfilling job that would make him and his parents happy.
His mother Amy recalled:
“He had a soft side of him that was second-to-none for a kid his age”
This all took a devastating and fatal turn after Daniel decided to commit suicide. There were many years of bullying towards Daniel that went on at high school. Not only was he jeered and called names, he was also attacked physically. Daniel’s Mother and father attempted to get the school to take a hold of this problem but nothing ever happened.
