75-Year-Old Abused And Attacked In Atlanta Walmart

One of the local Wal-Marts in Atlanta was a place where an unfortunate incident happened on March 5. An elderly victim of violence said: “I thought I was safe. I’m in Wal-Mart.”

Are we really safe? Anywhere?

Sandra McClung, aged 75, became a victim of a strange case of violence while shopping at the already mentioned Atlanta Wal-Mart. She used a scooter as always because of the problems with her knees and somehow almost crashed with Alexis Venderberg, who was driving another scooter. According to Daily Mail, Venderberg acted aggressively and used vulgar language.

McClung said to KHOU “I thought she was going to go around. She looked at me and she said, ‘I want to get some bread, white b****.’ I said, ‘Well excuse me.'”

But also, McClung said that she used expletives as well which provoked Venderberg even more.

“There wasn’t anybody in the aisle, and the next thing you know she was jumping on me,” explained McClung. “She kept socking me in my glasses and then hitting me in my mouth. I started hollering, ‘Help, help.'”

“Nobody came to help me when that was going on,” the poor woman said. Fortunately, when she started to cry for help, Venderberg finally let her go and left.

As police described in their report, they found McClung with her nose bleeding badly and with bruises on her face as well as arms.

Police found the evidence – a cell phone. “It must have dropped out of her pocket when she was leaning over the buggy, socking me in the face,” McClung said. They managed to ‘open’ the phone and find out the name and other useful information about Venderberg. Police also said Venderberg will be apprehended as soon as they find her.

After a while, Venderburg got back to Wal-Mart in order to find her cell phone. As an employee refused to give her phone back, she tried to take it by force.

Cameras captured her entering the store but didn’t capture the skirmish.

A day after this terrible incident, McClung, still under stress because of the painful experience and injuries, gave an interview. “There had to be something wrong with her because you just don’t do that.”
